Where to find a Rear Axle
I need a rear axle because I was changing my gears and the bearings are shot on the axle. I looked for them and could only find new ones and those go for around a grand. I need to find a used one with good bearings. Does anyone know where I can find one?

If the axle has a groove worn in it from the bearing you have 2 choices, replace the axle or use what is called a repair bearing. What a repair bearing does is offset where the bearing rides on the axle, so it rides in a new, clean, smooth spot. We sell them where I work, they are around $40 and come with the seal attached. The part # in BCA is RP5707.
The other choice is the axle of course. They are avaliable on the after market in Dorman. We don't stock it. The part # is 630-228. It comes with the axle, bearing, seal and studs for $199.
Good luck, hopefully this helps you.
