I am looking at a 94 GT. Price is right for it in the ballpark in where i want to spend. Its an automatic. My qustion is can you put a 5-speed in it and will it be a pain the butt? And if it can be done how much would i be looking at to be spending. Or any other ideas.

 

yeah the auto to 5-speed swap is very common in these cars, if you are mechanically inclined then it should be a peice of cake, you can pick up a complete swap, trans, housing, crossmember, harness, computer, ect, for around 1500 to 2k. Just depends on the condition and upgrades of the trans

 

Ok but you can still make those cars quick with an auto right?

 

yes you can make it quick with a built auto with stall converter and gears in the rear
