hey guys i just got a 90 gt and the smog pump is already gone but the lines that go to the back of the heads is still there.well today i replaced my valve cover gaskets so i had the upper intake off and the lines came off easy but icannot for the life of me get those 5/8-11 bolts to thread in back there.did i happen to get the wrong size bolts or is there something im missing here?so for now i got everything back together and will try again later pending on what i find.

you'll need to clean all the carbon build up out of the threads

okay i guess it is time for me to go find a tap for 5/8-11 i tried and tried and even stuck a small flat blade screwdriver in the holes to try and scrape something out and no go.couldnt even get the damn things started.i could barely feel the threads in the holes with my pinky.the bolts i have are 1 1/2 inch long i couldnt get 1.

how hard was it to get rid of all the smog pump components. how long did it take?
