Default 1990 mustang

Hello, im looking to buy a mustang and recently found one. it is a 1990 mustang LX 5.0 hatchback. its got a new paint job, like an orang-ish redish color. Its a 5-speed, it has a cervini bolt on cowl hood, from what i can tell it is a 2 inch lift, it has ROH wheels(unsure of what these are), and energy motor mounts. It has a new OEM clutch, which was put in less then a week ago, 410 gears in the rear. the odometer says its got 140k on it, but the guy is saying that there is 110-115k because it was never recalibrated for the 410 gears. for the exhaust, its got mac long tubes, mac h-pipe and 2-chamber mac mufflers. From what i can tell everything else looks stock. hes asking 3700 an said hes firm, but i can probably get the price down a little bit, but if it was 3700, is that a legit price?

3700 is not a bad price if it's clean. I sold an 86 hatchback for $4500 last summer.

He might be stretching a bit on the mileage, depends when he put the 410 gears in.
Ask him if he has any pics before the paint job. Or take a close look on the body, I like to use a weak fridge magnet to check body panels. (not strong enough to scratch but enough to tell you where the body work has been done.

pop the sunroof out, they like to rust around the inner channel.

I have about a dozen on my toolbox, there the ones typically that are about the thickness of a couple of business cards. (black, flexible) A lot of places use them like promotional removable stickers.

If you have a stronger magnet, just wrap it in a soft cloth. (same type of effect)
