I drove around with mine disconnect at one point but that was because one end link had broke. It felt weird with one side on and one side not lol. You'll be alright with it being off the car.
If you still retain your stock suspension that's probably why.

Put it this way, I have 70/30's up front. I was cruisin w a local stang group, I was on a ramp circling to get on the hywy doin about 35, they told me my rt front tire was off the ground. That's a lot of lean.
