how to mount harnesses?
#11
This is what I meant with running it over the harness bar: http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...8_04120002.jpg
I was looking at the cross that just bolts to the harness bar but that one isnt DOT legal is it? Because if I can, I'd rather use a DOT approved one that i can wear all the time so I don't have the pain of "storing it" in the seat cushions and seat back like the manual says. thanks for all your help by the way

Yes, the Rallye Cross is DOT approved. Any of them that meet the FMVSS 209 specification are DOT approved(it'll list it in the attachments at the bottom of the page, and I'm pretty sure every belt under the tuning section is DOT).
Keep in mind though, none of the DOT harnesses meet SFI spec, so if you need an SFI harness(Schroth makes those as well) then you would have to run 2 harnesses, use the DOT on the street and the SFI on the track.
Edit: You can wear the DOT harness at all times on the road btw. The recommendation for storing it is for people that want to use the factory 3pnt on the street and the harness on the track.
