What to do with the torque boxes?
Last night was the first run with the new gears and street slicks, hit the brakes, set the line lock, and proceeded to hop around a rabbit on crack...
Further inspection revealed no obvious damage to anything but, an onlooker commented about welding the torque boxes to eliminate hop? Anyone else heard of this? I tried the search option and found more questions than answers.

wheel hop has a lot to do with bushing wear and suspension geomtery. most often times wheels hop is eleaviated by installing aftermarket control arms. have you don this yet?
welding tq boxes is always a good idea so your rear end doesnt tear itself out from under the car when you launch.
this isnt exactly what happened here...but just to give you an idea.

aftermarket u/l control arms. that will fix your issue. they come with new bushings except for the ones on the rear end itself. those you'll have to purchase and replace seperately and they are a B**** to replace, but doable. forget trac bars on a 4link set up. those are for like leaf spring set ups.
