Question, could the subframes make the ride harsher? I have subs on my 90 LX
and now it also rides like a tank. Lots of squeaks and rattles.

Yeah, they do seem to make the ride harsher. I never had noticed it because all my family ever owned was convertables. After riding in a friends hatch the other night, I couldn't own a car without subframe connectors.
