Default H/C/I COMBOS FOR 94 MUSTANG GT

I have a 1994 mustang GT 5 speed 58K mile 100% original car. So far, i added frpp 3;73, MAC ceramic 1 5/8" LT, MAC prochamber, MAC catback, 65 MM TB, k&N cone filter, MSD cap, rotor, motorsports wires and new plugs and 13 degree timing. car runs pretty good for what it is. I am now trying to decide an H/C/I set up on the car. I've been reading forums and looking at different setups on cars, and ive seen some cars making as much as 331 whp. Does this seem right? Also, im thinking of AFR 165, ported cobra, custom cam, or GT40p ported, ported cobra and custom cam. I'm thinking those two. What do you guys think? My buddy has a lightly ported gt40x/cobra intake and e cam 94 mustang and it made 292 whp. Please post your ideas of H/C/I combos that you guys know of , or have seen to get me the most whp from my stock bottom end. I really want to be atleast 300. I was very impressed with Killer Kanarys 95 conv making low 300s running very low 12's.

I would go with the AFR's, ported Cobra and a custom cam. I am sure you will pay more, but you will get more performance. I like the GT-40p heads, but I personally prefer aluminum heads. They dissipate heat more effectively than iron. Basically, you can run 87 octane without fear of pinging/detonation. In my car I used Trickflow TW heads, Trickflow Stg-1 cam, GT-40 tubular intake w/box stock lower intake and made 271rwhp and 311rwtq through an automatic. It ran 13.17@105. And yeah, Killer Kanary has a sick vert, especially with that 331 in there.

yea i like the look of the cobra intake, so i wanna do that. Ill probably go with AFRs. Anyone know of a used set of 165 with 60cc chambers?. My buddy who has a dark red 94 gt like yours has lightly ported gt40x heads, lightly ported cobra intake, e cam, 3:73s and other bolt ons made 292 wheel hp and its a very stout car. he ran 13.2 spinning at 108, and 12.00 at 116 on 100 shot. He now has a set of ET streets so he wants to hit the track and will go faster. But i want something over 300 wheel and quick. If a lightly ported set of gt40s made 292, why couldnt AFRs make over 300 with a custom cam and match intake? maybe even get the AFRs touched up a bit. Any other ideas anyone? Or just send me links of other 5.0 fuel injected stock bottom end 302s making over 300whp.

My good friend has a 95 cobra with Trick Flow heads, E-303 cam, Trick Flow intake, BBK long tubes with o/r h pipe, Borla side exhaust, cai with a different MAF, upgraded throttle body, udp's, aluminum driveshaft, custome tune, and 3.73 gear.

With this he put down 305 rwhp/320 rwtq.

have u seen a stock bottom end with 185s make 350 wheel? Ive heard 185s are way too big and the motor wont handle the rpms u need to turn to get max power..they basically move your powerband up

there is no such thing as "too big" as long as the rest of your combo matches. and yes, i have seen a stock bottom end make that much power. A guy local to me was running a pair of worked twist wedges, a custom ground cam, a TH intake and some other stuff that I cant recall, and made ~343hp.

AFR actually did a similar build to the above, which made some absurd numbers.

heres the info off the AFR website
