wow 283 thats horrible.
the idle issue is your motor's way of telling you it wants bigger heads and a decent cam LOL. it might seem like a bunch of work to sell the 165s and buy some bigger heads but if you dont, you just wasted all that money to build a 347. hell, i run a ported set of 205s on my 331 that flow about 212. 165s are too small for a 302, your 347 is choking to death.

gonna rip out 347 and start over...not gonna change my mind..im going to sell all fuel injected b.s. including h/c/i and start fresh with a 347 carb...no more of this computer shat...seal up engine bay...Jamie
Its unfortunate that you weren't getting the kind of power you were hoping for. Get some TFS Hi-Port's or some Fast As Cast heads, a Camshaft Innovations cam and a better intake and you should easily see 400rwhp. I don't really see the need to go carb'd.
I guess sometimes that's just the way she goes.

I don't see what all the fuss is about, you put a 302 h/c/i on a 347 and the results it delivered were just that ...no suprise.......your efi will be fine just put the right bottom end under your current h/c/i and problem solved or vice versa
Well im not gonna go down in power...."go big or go home i guess"
