speedometer?

Default speedometer?

I have a little problem...my speedometer works to about 30 mph...after that it goes crazy...i replaced the speedometer gear (in tranny) and i just installed a brand new speedometer cable...darn thing still doesnt work???? What else can it be? Can it be the actual speedometer?

head unit is bad, had a few do similar stuff before, = very eratic above 50 mph

yup as stated its the speedo itself.also did you grease your cable

damn...where can i get a head unit? The unit looks like its in awesome shape!!! Super clean...i guess not though since the speedo isnt working...any idea where i can get one?

Also, on the greasing of the speedo cable...where does it need to be greased? where the cable connects or the entire cable?

yeah i read somewhere that the cable slides out of the cable housing...and to only lube or grease the bottom half of the cable

i found a speedo on ebay for $40...not much of a discription in the sellers notes so i wonder if it works or not lol I guess i'll keep on looking...

when I buy a speedo cable I always lube the whole thing whether your suppose to or not
