Default Auto to Manual Swap? How Difficult?

Hey guys im looking at buying another 5.0 but iv come across some good deals but thier auto!

And theres no way ill drive an auto mustang lol. So how hard and expensive is it to swap from auto to manual t5?

it can get expensive because no one really trust a used automatic transmission enough to give anything for it.

I would say 1200

I would take 500 plus shipping for my t-5, crossmember, shift fork and bellhousing.

don't be so quick to shy away from it. auto cars can be alot of fun. build it strictly as a track/weekend car. build the snot of out a C4 and stick some huge *** drag radials out back, beefy. mmm.

only thing about the aod is you still need a stall converter to run decent times

i know but my first car was auto and then i got the 5 speed and life has never been the same lol. I dont want to go back to an auto car.. Maybe ill just keep looking, i didnt think it would cost that much

It's not terribly pricey, its just time consuming. You're gonna need to buy everything, cable, clutch setup including fork etc, maybe a new throttle cable bracket if you're picky, a pedal assembly, which requires removal of the entire dash down to the last bolt, i'm sure im forgetting some things.

I have a buddy that has a t-5 for 350 including bellhousing, shift fork and shifter.
I almost bought because I thought the clutch and flywheel that both looked almost brand new came with it. He would probably want 450 to 5 for all of it.

still got to get the things mentioned in the above post

yeah screw that. im gonna be working full time i dont got time to be taking apart my car just to save a few bucks buying an auto stang.. the deal isnt that good lol
