Default Coolant Smell

Hi,I have a 91 mustang gt and just recently, i have noticed a antifreeze smell after the car gets warm. My heatercore is bypassed so the smell isnt inside the car but is coming from under the hood . Ive checked for leaks but cant find anything and also after driving for a while it actually steams a little from the engine and i still cant locate where its from. Any ideas? THX

Check your freeze plugs for coolant leaks.

check the rubber coolant hose that leads down to the back of the lower intake. they're prone to popping pinholes because of the tight location, they have no ventilation and are more succumb to wear.

I say run a cooling system pressure test to pinpoint the exact location. Where abouts is the steam coming from?
