Default Question about installing an oil separator?

I'm installing an oil separator on my mustang. I bought the oil separator from home depot. On the separator, one side says "in" and the other is "out". What goes to the "in" side? The pcv valve side or the intake hose side or does it not matter?

This is how I connected the oil separator. From the "in" of the separator I connected it directly to the pcv valve. The "out" line I connected it to the vacuum tee where the old pcv hose used to be. Is this correct?
