New Fox For Me!!!!! YAY! (long read)
well im back in the fox game. as some of you may remember i formerly had a black 89 GT that had some transmission bugs. well that's long gone and after a few months i got the bug again and bought a 91 LX.
it has 122k miles
5-speed
black interior
gray exterior
no rear defroster
has ac
and supposedly has an e-303 cam.
it does pull harder up top, idles a bit rougher than my GT, and sips more gas, so im willing to bet it's in there, all tough i have yet to confirm this.
it also came with a surprising amount of goodies.
it has a BRAND new oil pan (it is VERY clean, and has very few scratches. prob less than 2 months old)
came with pony wheels that are in excellent condition, wrapped in tires that have approx 70% thread left on all four corners.
the front speakers are aftermarket alpine units.
shorty antenna with great reception,
ford racing 9mm wires that also seem new.
new valve covers.
short ram K&N intake.
original working factory radio,
an o/r h-pipe and 40 series flowmaster cat-back that also seem to be no more than a few months old.
it also has some customly-embroider door pannels with flame stitching on them.(they're cool, but i will eventually replace them)
a chrome alternator pulley, which i think is bad ***.
there's a an MSD ignition system tag on the front of the fan cowl with a CARB exemption number. however i didn't get THAT lucky [sad face = ( ]
AND GET THIS:
an ALMOST working ashtray door!!!!111one! =p
the door closes but eventually pops open with vibration.
on that note the interior is in good shape. the seats are still very comfy (for a fox) have no tears, few stains, and it has a perfect dash. there are several spots wher the paint is worn out how ever. mostly high traffic areas.
there is ZERO rust on this car, and the weather striping is in very decent condition. the floor pans are also in magnificent shape.
now to the bad:
the windshield has two chips, one somewhat serious.
the left head light is smashed open.
the hatch needs new lift supports, and a latch.
the car will need new shocks pretty soon
the middle console has the center armrest there but needs a new locking plate to close.
im going to need a new window motor for the left door since the window is very slow in going up/down.
the paint is also shot. the car isn't multi-colored but the pain is definitely sun-baked.
and i can definitely smell gasoline when i lower my window while driving which has me somewhat worried.
as far as the windshield goes i know of some one in my area that will intstall a good quality one for 200 bucks. (he has a good reputation amongst many people here) i already have the lift supports, and will probably spring for new headlights on my next paycheck. shocks will have to wait untill i do a complete suspension overhaul/upgrade.
they guy i bought it from said his buddy gave it to him to cover a debt, and he had it sitting for almost 1 year.
(he would drive it only about once a week to make sure nothing stuck together)
he originally wanted $2,600 but i managed to bring him down to $1,600
despite the issues i think i got a steal. this seems to have been the debtor's project car.
well sorry for the long post but i had to tell you guys. ill get pics up today as soon as i have a chance and the weather clears a bit.

Congrats on the new ride.
An e-303 has a real noticeable idle. Here is an idle clip of mine.
