I recently moved here to lubbock, texas and come to find out they have an inspection here. My car doesn't have cats or a horn. So the reason for this post, is there someone who knows of a inspection shop or a way to get around it? If it comes down to it, I am able to put the stock steering wheel in so I have a horn, or I can wire a switch. Thats not hard. but i do not want to rip apart my exhaust. It has cat shields welded onto it so it looks like cats. But I'm just not sure what would be the best idea.
Well I knew someone in my old city who could do it back in west virginia. Thats why my car is the way it is now. But if someone knows of a shop who can. or is it just a bad idea.
Well i planed on it. Thats why i asked if anyone knew. Just seeing if i wouldn't have to put cats back on my car. but we will see what happens. Sorry for the space.
"Looks like cats" won't cut it in Texas. They'll run the sniffer on it as well. I had three fox cars while living there, along with my Roush. They like to pick apart cars that have mods during inspections. I'd just buy a stock mid pipe and put it in.

Good luck.
Thanks a lot for the information. I don't know anyone here so I have no clue. Im not in a smog testing area. (they have areas where they test them)
But if there is any mustang owners willing to met up in the lubbock area. let me know. it would be nice to get out of this hotel.
