shifter fitting

Default shifter fitting
I have the chance to buy a hurst shifter for only 100 and its new in the box, the problem is that the part # says its for 94-01. But the shifter thats supposed to fit my car will fit 83-01, I have a 88. So I guess the question is will it fit or not considering that both shifters go to 2001 model year and cover 1994 model also. Thanks in advance

Awesome cause thats gonna save me like 160 bucks. Anyone have any input on that shifter?
