Default Caster off (without plates)???

I recently noticed that my driver’s side front wheel is a 1/2 inch closer to the rear of the front fender than the passenger side??? (1992 LX 5.0)

I recently had a shop change the front struts and sway bar end links... Drivers side wheel makes a rubbing noise when making hard right turns, sounds like the brakes? I was told that Caster is not adjustable from the factory... (the car is bone stock without Caster/Camber plates...)

FYI - The car was in a minor accident and the original driver’s side fender was removed hammered out and remounted. The gap between the driver’s side door and the front fender, looks equal to the passenger side though...

The car drives straight as an arrow!

What could the problem be???

Just for the record the pass side front wheel is supposed to be slightly further forward than the drivers side wheel, this prevents the car from drifting right on a crowned road. Dunno if a half inch is a bit excessive though.
