Well, the mod bug has hit me again and I am forced to succumb to it. My basically stock DD is slow and I need to add some more power. I am doing the very mild GT-40 setup but on a budget. I bought some iron GT-40's off a 93 Cobra the other day and am picking up a 94-95 Cobra intake next week(retaining stock cam). The problem is I cannot find the intake manifold bolts anywhere(I am pretty sure they are different than the H.O. intake bolts too). The only time I can find the bolts is with a phenolic spacer kit and I do not want to spend the extra $$ for a spacer. So if anyone knows of a place that carries the bolts, that would be great. Thanks!

 

I used my stock intake bolts when i installed an explorer intake, so i know they work. Before i did the intake i just changed the gasket and broke a bolt(long one) over torqueing. I ended up getting one free from a performance shop. I would call anyone that has alot of parts and just ask for the intake bolts, maybe craigslist. I did this for smog pump bolts and got those free with other parts.

 

hardware stores are a good pace to look. the average intake manifold bolt isnt more than a grade 3 piece... get some grade 5's and you wont have to worry about a thing

 

did you try ebay and all the classifieds on every and any forum or even post a thread in such section WTB
