ahh yes but your cobra came with roller rockers factory stock, The OP'S stock stang has stamped steel pedastal mounts which to answer the question, NO you can't use the stock stamped steel ones with out clearancing them, IIRC they will interfere with the afr retainers on the springs.

and im not building a rocket ship that goes to the strip once a week like most of you guys. as a matter of fact, i might not ever go to a track. I dont plan on spinning it over 6500 rpm and dont plan on launching at 5K either. if that matters at all or not with ped or stud mount...

get the 58cc chamber afr 165s. they are stud mount and because they are the smallest chamber 165, you will get a CR of about 9.5 which will help make some extra power in and of itself.
and no, pedestal mount isnt the worst thing in the world but if your going to buy heads you might as well get the best ones. its not like you go out and buy new heads every month

anyways, when you install the heads, be sure to go with a good set of mls gaskets and arp head STUDS. f*ck head bolts
