Default Shift ****

I know this sounds stupid, I was looking through my manual conversion stuff sitting in my closet because I am bored. I picked up my pro 5.0 shifter and screwed my shifter onto it. When it screws down all the way and stops, the shift pattern on the **** is set completely sideways. What are you supposed to so to make it straight? Do you use a lock nut or something? That would look kind of dumb.

I really like that, I'm gonna do it. Thanks for the tip. I drove an 03 Cobra once and I loved how the shifter was low like that.

Soo.. I grabbed the box and looked inside it, the nut was taped to some packing material

Screw the **** down as far as it will go where the pattern is straight, then measure how much thread is extra. That way you know how much to cut
