The 85:
how I bought it
bought it as an automatic 4 cyl. when I was 15 on christmas day for $400. I had already built a 2.3 for it(cause my dad said I couldn't have a 302 yet) it was bored .040 over,the head was shaved .025. I switched the car over to a t-5 and drove it to school through my 10th grade yr. and part of my 11th w/the 4 cyl. in it. I finally blew the 2.3 and got my first 5.0 and got it to look like this
I then broke my first t-5, so I put a C6 and drove it for about 6 months with the c6. My brother wrecked his convertible so I has me another t-5 to put into the car and on nov. 17th of '07 I rear ended a dodge truck and tore the front end of my car up. I changed the front end from an 85-86 to an 87-93 gt style and drove it like this for about 3 or 4 months
I guess that when I hit that truck that it knocked something loose inside the motor so i had to take it out and replaced it with a 306 shortblock,E-303 cam,ported and polished E7's. I got an 8.8 with 3:73 gears na d got a best of 13.7 at 102 before I broke the the last t-5 I also decided to paint it orange and black
all in all I probably put somewhere around $6500 to $7000 into it

The 91:
I bought it for $1400,completely stock with a 140,xxx miles on it. It needed a fuel pump and 2nd gear was gone
The Sat. after I bought it the alt bracket bolt broke just as I was getting off the interstate and fell into the radiator,so instead of fixing the entire engine I took the one out the 85 and put it in. I bought another t-5 for $100 and put it in along with centerforce clutch. I also decided to put the cowl hood on the car and paint it and waxed the rest of the car,along with dropping the front end with 4 cyl. springs. Basically I took everything out from under the 85 and put it in the 91. Here's how it sits now:
