I was going down the highway and my hood just flys up and now there is a pinky sized piece missing on the right side (aftermarket fiberglass). Is there a way to repair this? also is the panel piece dividing the windshield and the hood replaceable? Its fubared.

yes the cowl screen is replaceable....www.50resto.com has them about 60$ or go to a junkyard


as for the hood you can buy some fiberglass mat and resin and make a path then apply it sand smooth and finish with body filler and prime then paint.....

always use hood pins with a fiberglass hood.....

I learned about using hood pins the hard way also, but i wasent lucky enough to just have the plastic cowl vent break my whole cowl pannel got crushed in smashing in the wiper arms
