Default Will 17x9 cobra r rims fit my lowered 88 gt?

Does anyone know if 17x9 cobra r rims will fit my stang without tire rub, and if so which size tires? Car is lowered 2" and currently on 16x7 4bolt ponys..

Any advice would be very much appreciated! thank you.

sometimes u can just flip the quad shocks to get a little extra clearance without removing them, shouldnt take them off unless u get aftermarket control arms, some people get crazy wheel hop with the quad shocks removed, some people say no problems

some people still get crazy wheelhop with aftermarket control arms.. It's best to keep them and get new ones to replace the old worn out POS's
