i had no problem with my used parts that i put on in my bolt on days, before i (stupidly) decided to built my 357W out of all brand new parts.
honestly, polish up or paint used parts and only you will know they are used. buying used parts could be the difference between having or not having that money left over to buy the parts to beat that pesky LS1 'maro down the road...

I agree that things like heads should be bought used. However certain parts should be bought new.

wanting a new intake over a used intake is retarded.. it has no moving parts. so unless the PO screwed it up somehow, then its just a dirty version of a new piece!

Heads are kinda hit or miss. I would never buy a set of used heads without putting my hands on them. end of story!

rockers, lifters, pushrods. i'd go new all the time.. always, forever!

electronics.. maf, injectors, etc... used is perfecty ok!

TB, another piece thats really hard to mess up. It can only be junk if modified, or if it was junk from the get-go

I ordered my trick flow stuff this morning. I do appreciate all the responses but I only need to make 300hp to be happy. I'm running stock aode and rear end and just can't afford to upgrade everything to support 400 or more hp. thanks alot guys!

I went with the track heat package, the silver one. I'm just going to rebuild the stock block and put this stuff on top of it. My goal is right around 290-300rwhp with a tune. Thats all I expect out of it anyways
