I thought the 3.2s had a problem with the cranks snapping? or am I wrong?

IIRC it was a problem with the cam gears shearing the pins and spinning... which is why many are listed with "welded cam gears"

today i went and fixed it. i had to replace the starter and the cam position sensor. I hustled the autozone guy and got him to give me 10% off lol. so i payed $146 for both. lol the starter alone was supposed to be $130 + the core charge. anyway it runs really good and shifts like butter. the tires are in great shape and there is no rust/rot anywere except for the mufflers.. they are rotted a bit and leak but the rest of the exhaust is in good shape. but it is not loud. so all in all i payed $446 so far and because i got it at a dealer and he filled out some paper so that i only have to pay tax on the $300 and not what the car is actually worth!

here are the pix:

i have the center cap vvv

welp today i washed the stang of all the nasty salt, removed the plates and backed her into the garage for the winter! finally.. went and registered the SHO. so for a grand total of about $550 i got the car, got it running and registered it! its runs really well. except for a slight miss but i kno thats one of the plug wires. it was half *** on the coil and it was corroded so i just gotta clean that up.

anyone wanna buy a ranger? haha had a few ppl come look at it today and am supposed to have some tomorrow. hope i sell it quick. i need the cash back..

Looks like it was a good deal. I think I'll pass on your ranger though.
