E brake question

Default E brake question

I have a 90 lx and it has the sn95 rearend with disk brakes, how do i convert my ebrake to work in my foxbody? Also is there anyone who knows the correct axels to put in my rearend due to the fact that my passenger side wheel sticks out a quarter inch more than the drivers side! thanks in advance

The proper way to convert the ebrake is by replacing all three cables. The two new large cables run in the same location as the old cables. The third cable that is attached to the ebrake handle gets replaced by a cable that has a threaded rod on it. The threads on it go through the stock equalizer after you enlarge the hole. The equalizer is held on by two nuts. You can use the nuts/threaded rod to adjust the ebrake. You will have to get these parts from a Ford dealership or from Ford racing. I will dig up the part numbers in a little bit.

The spiral spring in the ebrake handle gets disabled by cutting it. You weld the pawl to the ratchet so it is essentially one piece.

Here are some pictures that hopefully will help. If you have any more questions let me know. Mine works perfectly.

Don't mind that poopy stock driveshaft... it's aluminum now.

Center adjustable cable - M-2810-A

Rear cables (for 87-92) - M-2809-A

1993 rear cables - F3ZZ-2A635-A

Thanks for posting those part numbers. As he said, the two long cables on the 1993 are different than the rest of the foxes, so be sure to get the proper part.
