The first time I remember the car doing this to me I had just checked the fuel pressure to see how fast it leaked down. After I finished that, I put a cone k&n filter on it. after I started down the road the car felt like it lost a lot of hp nd the only thing I could think of at the time was that the new filter was choking it out, so I decided to put the paper filter back in, and it ran fine for about another week, when it started doing it again. I drove it to school and hooked up the f/p guage.I took it down the road and it done fine, so I took the guage off and got on it again, so once more it started to stutter. I got the timing light out and timed it and that seemed to fix the problem. It's been doing it off and on for about 2 months, but sometimes it seems to do it worse when it's cold. I ordered some new plug wires last night, I just hope there's nothing severe wrong with it

It looks like its lagging. is there a sputter? my computer speakers are **** and there was alot of wind in the vid. Because mine did the exact same thing and the fuel pump was bad. it put out correct pressure and worked under a load, but as soon as you put it over 2.5k on the tach it went to ****.

What i did was just do the fuel pump and filter, i also did cap, rotor and distributor, wires and plugs. that sloved the problem. but i would put my money on the fuel pump.

another way to tell. when you turn the car to "on" but not run, you should here the pump give off a sound, its really kinda loud for a fuel pump if good but if you dont hear it or its weak then swap it out for i nice new one. they will run the car but do nothing else.

The fuel sock on the pump maybe loose or have a whole torn in it, will cause the pump to loose its prime.
