Default wheels for my 86

I am having trouble deciding which wheels to go with. I will be going with a
17x8 or 17x9. I dont know if i want the gt500 wheels or if i like the five spoke wheels. it seems to me that everyone does some sort of 5 spoke on the these cars I would like to be different. And I dont know what color\material to go with? what kind of wheels are you guys running

I have 17x9 's on all four corners. Perfect fit for my rears, 275's but the front are too wide for what you would normally put on the front of a fox.

Had 235 45, 245, 45's and they are both too narrow for the rim. It sticks out a bit and they also rub on my control arm at full crank.

I think 8's on the front and 9's for the rear.

I would go with 17x8's up front on a '86 and 17x9 out back...

Your idea of perfect and mine are not the same. Yes it work, even a 235 works but it leaves the rim sticking out slightly. Meaning if you look down from the top, you will see rim. Unlike the 275, the tire is wider than the rim. If you get near a curb with a 275 on a 9", the rim is safe. A 245 on a 9" is potentially curb rash danger zone.

Let's not take this as IT WON'T WORK. It works, I run the same set up. It's just that if given a choice a 8" is a better fit than a 9" for a 245.
