Installed Timing Chain

Cleaned out the interior to start wiring

Marked the driver frame for cutting......notice the obvious crap job previously done

Removed the crap off the firewall I don't need and relocated the brake lines under the seam.

If your numbers are correct, it is interesting to see that the new edge cobras have smaller piston diameters than the v6/gt.

Where are relocating the barometric pressure sensor? The black box on the middle of the firewall.

Is that an aftermarket prop valve? Or are you keeping the fox crap?

I hate finding all the halfass fix it jobs on cars like this. I don't care if it's on a cavalier, though. Good luck with that front end.

I don't need the sensor since I am running a carb. The brake's are stock 5.0 and other than the calipers and rotors when I go to 5 lug it will stay that way for now. My goal for the wires are to have even less showing than I did on my 83 so I am going to run them under the K member to the bottom of the motor and come up from there to run to the alt, dizzy, and choke. The ignition box is either getting put into the fender or relocated inside I haven't decided yet. Depending on how long my coil plug wire is will decided where I can put my coil. I will probably leave it over on the driver strut tower.

The info on the calipers I got from CJ Pony Part's website. I'm sure the smaller diameter pistons are probably more efficient calipers and not needing the bigger piston.....maybe IDK..

I am using a fuel pump with a return on it so I will be using both lines.
thanks, we got it going tonight. The old pump was bad. We took the pump I took out of my car and installed it and it went right up to 7lbs.

I am hoping that running the return line this time will help keep my fuel pressure down a little. The gauge I was using said I was running a constant 10psi in the 83.......granted the gauge was one of those cheap ones from the part store so maybe it was wrong....lol I know that using a return line this time should help a little on my mpg but I think the biggest change I will see is going to be from going from a c4 to a t5.

I decided to retap the other thrust plate bolt for the 5/16 thread as well because I didn't like how it felt when I torqued the smaller bolt down. I will be replacing a hub on a coworkers expedition today so maybe I can pick up some gaskets to button up the motor or maybe go to the junk yard next week to get some parts . I also pulled the carpet out last night to get it swept and scrubbed a little but didn't get far with the cleaning of it lol...too cold and too tired.

Too cold in texas? Come up here. We just got 22 inches and we are getting about 15 more in the next day or so. Haha.
