Is the filler neck on those valve covers taller or shorther than stock. Are the covers taller or shorter?

Are they just a direct replacement for stock covers but they are prettier? I need to ditch my stock covers so I can reinstall the STB. Damn poly engine mounts raised my engine up a bit more than desireable. I don't feel like buying shorter mounts ATM.

I will trade you my mounts for yours ....they are kinda trashed.... I am going to make them solid mounts anyway lol. Ask 302army187 about the valve covers because they his old ones. THANKS ROBERT! Nice and clean now The filler neck seems shorter on these than I remember on stock EFI's.

Ahh. Solid mounts will be fun.

Do you have stock covers to possibly compare for me? If you would be so kind. Or perhaps measure the height from gasket to top of filler neck? I could measure the stock ones.

Yea if I remember to I will tonight. I figured why waste the money on buying some when I can just weld a strip of metal on the sides of the stock ones for now.

Here ya go Tony. There was about a inch and a half difference from the top of the caps to the flat surface.

We did have some decent weather today while everyone else in the central texas area got snow lol. I did get the motor painted while I had some sun

thouse valve cover's are looking damn good now.

Yea they are "ford racing" valve covers. They claim all this BS about having MORE room, more durable, blah blah. I forget where, but one thing I read when I first got the car and was looking up the valve cover's said the fin's ontop work like the ones on aftermarket transmission pans, and COOL the oil/head. LMAO.

I dug up the first pictures I ever took of thouse on my car. These are from early 2008.

I don't miss that chrome at all, lol.

they look better on your motor then they did on mine for sure!
