Default Suspension ideas for new 17x10'' Pony R's on 5.0 LX

I have just purchased a set of Chrome 5 spoke OEM Pony R's from MMI for my 91 5.0 LX. The fronts are 17x9's with a 285/45 and the rear's are 17x10'' with a 315/45. I have never had a tire this wide before on a mustang. What type of suspension changes should I make. I was told I had to remove the quad shocks for a start. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

your tires ARE going to rub in the front, i would get the rack limiters from LRS. you are going to have to remove the quad shocks for sure, and have to "massage" the inner fender wheels to get them to fit. depending on the back spacing they might stick out of your fenders too. i think 6.5 inches is the perfect bs for 10 in rims

Pretty much everything stated here. Put up some pics when you get them on.

the first problem is that the tires are too tall for the car... you should start off by replacing the rubbers all the way around.

seriously
