Oversized tires or are you an automatic?

With stock 3.08 gears I was running 2000 rpm at 70.

Imo 4.10s with a 5 speed is way too much for a daily driver.

chances are you speedo is WAY off... i'm at 2000rpm at about 60mph with my 3.55s

make a list and start checking it off. don't fool yourself you will never be happy once you start.don't do what i 'm doing which is go cheap,cause now i'm re-doing everything i did last winter!! start small,peice by piece but buy good stuff.

This is what i have done to my car

1. Cobra port and polished upper and lower
2. Bbk shorty headers
3. Lightweight flyy wheel
4. Full 2.5 halfinch exhaust with flowmaster 40 series
5. Cold air intake
6. short throw
7. Im doing 4.10s
8. im doing underdrive pullies
9. Poly trans mount
10. Im thinking about doing 1.7 roller rockers
11. 75mm throttle body

I have 4.10's in my car. I love the low end but on the freeway its not as nice. at around 70 its at 3000rpms, not the best but liveable. 5th gear now pulls like 4th used to.

i like my FRPP 3.73s kinda wish i went with the 3.55 just cuz it is my dd and i do a bunch of hwy but w/e but the 3.73 is a good all around gear.

i got them done for $560 parts and labor. so, thats in ur price range

my buddy had an sn95 and to use the right speedo gear for the 3.73s or higher you would have to change the driven gear in the tranny. so he just went with the 3.55s because he could put the correct speedo gear in. i wanna say thats the same for all the t-5s from 90+
