Yeah i tried chasing my brother's wrx down one time on the highway... he was ~150... i hit 117 on my gps and said whoa f*ck that. Its very sketchy with basically stock suspension....

why the hell would you wanna do 170 consistantly anyway.. i can understand maybe opening your car up... but why build it for that speed... you get caught/lose control you're f*cked.

my gto feels like 80 mph at 160... trust me. it all depends on what u are driving. i know a foxbody wont be stable at those speeds.

then why not make your GTO fast?

trust me it sounds like beating your friends garbage lsx build shouldnt be hard.

hell, i could get 450rwhp out of a stock displacement LS1 with HCI if i wanted to.

>420hp on a 408 lsx build...?

tune or no tune that still sucks.

dont bother building a fox body, get an SN95 if you want to go faster.

but for that matter, just go with your GTO. and what do you mean you cant make it fast? if its an LS2, stroke it, throw on stock LS3 heads, and pretty stout cam (like an MTI X1), get a FAST 90/90 intake, some 1 7/8 headers, and a 150 shot.

there's NO reason you should be looking at less than like 500rwhp...

and if you can drive you'll take him. and that nissan probably isnt as light as you think either...

i HATE those rims.

right now i have a set of (real) 2000 Cobra R's wrapped in BFG R1 tires, and 18x9/10 black Saleens that have NT-05 rubber on them.

all for a car that has no engine, rear end, paint, interior, etc, etc...

sigh...

Alexander why not put on a 1 or two inch cowl? That looks terrible imo.

if you built a 347 you should easily have more hp than his pathetic 420 with evena mild setup. either he is lying to you about the numbers, or his engine build is a peice of sh*t.

his 408 has stock lq9 heads and like i said, his tune is putting no timing in due to 85 octane it was tuned for. now he just bought AFR heads and is expecting 500+ to the wheels after tune. GTO's arent the lightest car around weighing 3700 lbs. So i really wanted to start with a lighter car,but i may just have to modify the goat. Btw i have a ls1 gto, so i have 350 hp stock, not 400 like the ls2. itd be nice to have that power. haha

lol I hate the pig nose scoop. I just threw it on last summer to keep the rain from falling into my engine bay. I have a 2in cowl that I will be putting on as soon as the weather gets nice. I hate Indiana winters!!!
