The only chips worth anything are the ones that are burnt for a specific application

LOL at 4-9mpg. thats the most rediculous thing ive ever heard. you wont get any gain in mpg and maybe 5hp from a chip. dont believe everything you read.

its custom chip from a dyno tuner or nothing. and you dont even need that untill you have done h/c/i

all they do is advance timing... do it yourself for free

mm & ff used to have the 10 free things or some **** always posted

basically if your all stock do this...

1) drop the silencer.... most likely already done
2) advance the timing to about 12* btdc
3) k & n filter or cai
4) dump excess weight
5) get gears and tires

gears code is in the door tag under "ax"

m= 2.73
z= 3.08
e= 3.27 (aod's only)

go for the 4.10's and get a sticky tire... you'll feel like you bolted on 100 hp

like everyone has said so far, don't waste money on a chip. bump the timing yourself and add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. my car actually needed less fuel pressure than the factory setting when it was still stock. you really don't need a chip for a H/C/I install either...I have a Holley Systemax intake, 70 MM TB, Stage 2 Trick Flow cam (.542/.563 lift, 224/232 duration), Stage 2 ported Trick Flow Track heat heads, 30 lb. injectors and a Pro-M mass air meter. No chip in it, and it's my daily driver....makes 305 RWHP (it's only a naturally aspired 306) and gets 20+ MPG.
