explorer intake

Default explorer intake

new to this site but interested in explorer swap but not sure if everything bolts up.Im hopeing to get some info on the ins and outs. I have a 90 gt

what do you mean? the 5.0 explorer intake is a direct fit for the mustang. I think there are few ports you need to plug, but thats about it...

thanks bro. i was just wondering if every thing plugged right in or what im new on fuel injection almost to the point of pulling it off

yea you will need to plug a few of the vac ports on the heads and you will also need to drill and tap the bung on the #5 intake runner for the ACT sensor. (relocating it looks like crap)

i to am new to this. would any one have a how to right up on this and is it worth it. for someone that is stock motor.... also what year explorer have the good intake how do we tell when you go to the junk yard

the "good" one comes from the 96 and early 97 explorers. that one will have the boss on the #5 intake runner. the later 97 and up ones will not and also have the internal egr.

i have one off of an early 97 all tapped, painted and ready to go for sale

i actually might have it sold locally. i have 2 people that want it.

but as for power over stock i couldnt really tell you. i did my h/c/i all at once but i can tell you that i gained 60rwhp and 26rwtq. but the torque curves were soo much better.
