carb conversion
Well i've been trying to get my sensors fixed and such, but the electrical is all a mess in this car. its an 87 lx with a 5.0 swap but im clueless on the engine details. I went to autozone <--horrible and they basically told me i needed to get in touch with the guy who performed the swap and get the details on the car it came out of. That's impossible. Well because of the crappy running of my fuel injected 302 from the maf or vaf or egr not being hooked up, i've had enough and i'm just going to swap to carb. I was hoping you guys could give me some good combo's of intake/carb with an all stock engine. not planning on getting performance heads. I want to keep this my dd. i already get **** poor gas mileage as it is. Thanks
EDIT* I am looking for performance, just not to the extent of messing with the heads

a friend of mine did one recently. He kept the in-tank pump. run a dead head regulator and a big *** carb. We never did get to hammer on it. He found out the cam was bad after we did all this.

if you just want it to run and perform like it should no need for a huge carb. id prolly do a eddy performer intake and like a 550 carb, i like holly but everyone has there favorite brand. im no expert though so wait for more experienced carb guys to chime in, and give you more ideas. for my carb set up i took the intank pump out and put a hose in its place holly red pump where the stock filter is and then a regulator under the hood. mine a return type regulator.

can't have one without the other, biggest thing holding the 302 back is a well choosen h/c/i
