Default question about gears

I had a set of gears shipped to me the box came ripped and there was a chip off one of the teeth. Is it something to worry about or will it be fine pics attached

send it back for quality complaints, DO NOT USE THAT. have the shipping company pay for the mistake.

Its along story but they were free and they were shipped usps with no insurance. I just need to know if they will be ok or not.

the pic clearly shows where the wear pattern is and it doesn't appear to be affected by the chip, looks as if the gears are used.......just install them, I doubt they will make noise as long as you get the wear pattern back to where it currently is

If your going to use them, then at least get that chip face smoothed. Die grinder and finish up with a course craytex tip ought to do it.
