need help on a c4 stall
#11
Its fine for a street car, most people think that a stall is the rpm at which you have to get to before the car starts moving which its not. A high stall will drive just like a normal stall maybe 300-500 higher then a regular converter but it will drive just like a stock car till you smash the gas like 13 said. And yeah just like 13 said custom is the only way to go. Make sure if its over 2800 you get a trans cooler. I run just a basic 12x12 stack and plate cooler 4 inch in front of my radiator and I have never had the fluid get above 185* even in the 95 degree heat of summer. If you have any specific questions you can pm me

Like already said, a PROPER custom converter would set you back $1000+. Most people use an OTS converter because of this. Another thing to remember is that most shops will tell you that a 8.2" engine isnt going to make enough torque to flash to the advertised stall speed. IE a "3000" stall may only flash to 2200-2600 behind an 8.2" engine, depending on many other variables. I talked to PTC and they seem like a great company. Good luck
