Default Looking For Some Outside Advice

Hey guys, looking to see what you guys think I should do. As much as I don't want to do it my 5.0 is starting to serve little purpose in my life and to be honest, I'm ready to cut my losses with the car and move on. I was thinking, what would be better, to sell the car (stripped down of anything that would swap over to the Cobra) as is or to part it out and return the car to stock.

Right now all that's wrong is that the heads need to be remilled and the rear main seal is blown. If I could get 9,000 for the car I'd be happy as nearly everything on the car is brand new. Or should I return it to as near stock as possible and sell all my parts?

What I'm looking to do is put a Terminator motor and T-56 tranny in my 99 (much more economical decision than buying a Terminator, around here they don't sell for any less than 22,000 with moderate miles on them). And really get down to only one car. I love working on my 5.0, but I just don't have the time to do so anymore, guess you can say I'm growing up, plus I'm looking to buy a house soon and my Cobra is, by far, the more reliable and cheaper car to drive.

So, what should I do?

If I decided to sell it, any takers on my offer, I've dumped approx $30,000 into the car, plus around 50 hours of my own time working on things. Or part it out, if I part it out, any takers on the 50,000 parts I'd have availible?

If I were to part it out here is a full list of parts, if it has a price that's what I'd ask for it if I sold it. Mods this IS NOT a for sale add, if I decide to sell the thing I'd make one, I'm simply asking for advice and to see what kind of market there is if any for what I have.

If you do keep it, it wouldn't hurt to get a tune with some bigger injectors. I assume you were running a fmu with those. Also, I would be interested in the pulley if it comes with a tool and I defiantly want the lower intake. Would consider the heads too if my money was right at the time and they would allow me to keep compression down after the milling. I would also like the rockers.

Actually the 5.0 is running without any tune what so ever and ran fine till the stupid rear main seal blew along with the drivers side head gasket (stupid low quality gasket). Engine was making about what a 03/04 Cobra makes at the rear wheels. I've just lost interest in the car and want to do something else. I think tomorrow after I get off of work I'm gonna start swapping stuff over onto my Cobra, already put the rims on my Cobra.

terminators aren't any more reliable, and they aren't any cheaper. Have fun when you start to mod it and it gets expensive quick.

rear main seals can be a pain in the **** with supercharged cars. A friend of mine that didn't know about the screen that sits below the pcv valve needed to be replaced or was even there. It was stopped up and within 100 miles he had already blown another rear main seal. If the motor has a lot of blow-by, that may have caused it.

from what I understand, a general rule for injectors with a supercharged car is 12.8 x the injector size = horsepower at the wheels. 12.8 x 30 = 384hp at the wheels. With a bigger injector, steeda #19 cam and 90mm maf your car should be at least 440hp at the wheels and 500lbs of torque.

That's just it, I'll put a terminator engine in the car, do a pulley swap and that's it. I've learned my lesson when it comes to modding, and never again will I go to the extremes I went with my 95. And my 99 is light years more reliable than my 95, it has yet to give me any issues, leave stock = good reliability.

My pcv valve and filter are brand new, and because I have a twin screw it doesn't have the same pressure build up problems centrifugal S/Cs have, so it never, not one time, blew out the pcv.

No, I'm done modding, only reason I'm even thinking about "modding" my 99 by putting a terminator engine in it is because I really miss that stupid S/C whine, it's addicting as hell, plus a Terminator is what I really want, but the prices people want for them around here is unheard of, so this way I can have the best of both worlds. Like I said, only thing I'd do is up the PSI a couple of points, and maybe and that's a huge maybe, a CAI, asside from that and tuning the thing with my SCT live wire I have, that's it, it's fast enough as it sits and good to go, no need for anything else. I need a house and I'm focusing on a family, I have bigger needs/wants in life than dumping money into stupid cars.
