Default Lower Radiator Hose Support Wire

I'm replacing the lower radiator hose on my 94 because it seems that some of the wire that's supposed to support it from collapsing is gone.

Question is: the replacement i bought from summit did not come with a wire in it, should it have the wire or did i get the wrong one?

theres no wire in it from stock. many do it as an improvement to it. and if the wire has corroded away, I'd be worried about what your cooling system is doing.

lower doesn't usually have a wire. It's the upper one that does. The wire is meant to keep the hose from collapsing under high RPM or when you start the car up.
