will it work
Hey guys, alright so I just picked up from what I was told a 1980 302.(still tryin to figure out the casting number on it to be sure) what I'm tryin to figure out is if im gonna be able to get it into my 99 mustang? Any knowledge or experience would be appreciated

the amount of money required to get that motor into a 99 will be equal to or greater than buying a crashed v8 car from a junkyard.
not only that, but a 1980 block isn't going to be a roller block, so theres even more money there if you want it to be.

Thank you for the honest advice mattdel. I have been told this before, but im really wanting to go with something unique here, so Im not too worried that that it may not be the most cost effective idea, I was just wondering if it can be done at all, like any issues with mounting the engine in the car, I know that i will need a new transmission, and any other issues that havent been thought of. It seems that I cant be the only one that has tried to attempt this endeavor before
(oh one more thing, I do have a 4 grand budget, engine's already bought just need to drop about 500 into it to get it ready so If its like a 10 grand job, then yea thats when money does come into play)
