Default new build tunning issues

for starters this is what i have done to it ......
1) block machined bored to 306
2) forged pistons
3) stock crank machined
4) had everything blue printed and ballanced
5) trick flow track heat combo
1) trick flow heads
2) stage one cam
3) 1.6 roller rockers
4) trick flow push rods
5) trick flow lower intake
6) trick flow track heat upper intake
7) trick flow valve covers
6) ford racing roller lifters
7) ford racing 24lb injectors
8) Pro products 75mm TB
9) pro Products 75 mm egr plate
10) adjustable fuel regulator up to 75 psi
11) 255 lph fuel pump
12) C&L intake system with 76mm mass air flow black flute tuned to 24lb inj
13) new tps
14) new iab
15) new egr and egr sensor
16) have new h-pipe and no cats on it O2's are hooked up
17) still have factory exaust manifold on it
18) oh yea it also has a C&L conical air filter on it

i think thats it .....i have no codes and sure i have no vacuum leaks
timing is at 18-20
fuel preasure is set at 45psi at idle about 48-50 at full and 41ish when let off

had it on a mobil dyno jet the other day and got 249rhp/269t....second run was pretty much the same but third run was 225hp/255t

i think i am missing like 50 hp i should be atleast in the 190's???????

do i have no choice but to take it to be tuned .......

For starters, your fuel pressure is too high, Should be 39PSI with the vac line disconnected.
Set your timing back down to 12*
Get a real MAF, not the ****ty C&L
get shorties

Also, what pistons did you put in. Im curious what your compression ratio is.

Again C&L MAF's are garbage.

If you are going to put it on a dyno and have it tuned, talk to the tuner and see what they want to work with. They should be able to work with them all but, they will have a recommendation for which ones they like the best to work with.

I concure with addermk2, before I even saw his post, after I read your set up, I saw a few things to change and they were right in line with his advice, problem with c&l is they are not very accurate, to get the car to run right , one often has to clock the maf just right, meaning by clocking it some of your surge may go away, Anyway, I run PRO-M mafs, no clocking with them and when I bolted mine on, once all settings were in place car ran good, I set my timing at 14 base, 12-14 should be fine, pick a happy spot 13 may be good or 12 even, and get rid of the stock manifolds ASAP, YOU GAURANTEED ARE losing hp trying to force the exhaust gases out those restrictive headers, I would not even think of getting a tune until resolving/making some of these changes

I think I may go with Ford Motorsport on mine.

I like the car by the way, I have a white one.
