83resto, its an AOD

mjr46, I plan on building the trans with the motor swap

13, maybe I should just be like you and drop a pair of turbos on my motor

adder, I know that it will basically be the same as a 26" tire and 4.10 gear, I was just wondering if anyone here had 4.56's.. so far, it doesnt seem like it

blackout, Im not asking you to like my car, I was trying to get some replies from people that have ran this gear on their car...

86, a lot of things would be nice... money, time, some people that actually help with the original topic...


TO ANYONE THAT WANTS TO REPLY, I have plans to swap a 351 into the car, I will build the AOD hopefully beforehand.
I am not going to waste money on a 302, when I have a 351 going on an engine stand this summer...

I run a 4.56 gear, C4, and a "27" inch tire. I just got it together a few days ago so no track results/experience, but I can tell you from the couple miles I went, I was in high gear at 35mph with no bucking or anything of the sort. Its a low gear, but this stuf has many variables that change from car to car. Good luck!

but seriously tho, if your building a 351, make sure you buy a custom converter with that in mind. talk to the company you choose to make your converter, they will ask about hp, type of driving youll do, gearing, etc. dont buy an off the shelf converter if your taking the time to do a 351. and with the extra cubes comes extra torque, you definitely wont need a steeper gear. do suspension, sticky tires and see where you end up
