The most time consuming thing about the 1220sl is the relocating the alternator and adding the pulley for it.

The supercharger does come with a warranty so, if you want more boost it would be better to step up the pulley on the crank so you don't break the seal on the supercharger pulley.

Good call

But if I wanted to go more boost I have to get new injectors right? What do I need to do run more boost safe...

Paxton told me there 1220sl high boost kit goes of stock injectors too.. Just comes with th smaller pulley, discharge tube, and a boost retard...

Do I need all of this???

Well, the smaller pulley would let you keep the warranty with it unless it doesn't come with one. The discharge tube I assume would be a bypass valve that would help release the extra pressure running the smaller pulley would create. Or more likely, they mean a larger pipe that goes from the supercharger to the tb. Like an anderson powerpipe. The boost retard thing may not be needed as you could just lower your timing but, it will lower the timing a certain amount for every pound of boost so, it may help how fast you get the car moving with the timing before the boost kicks in...

You'll be fine without a tune. But a tune will take full advantage of your setup. Also, I doubt you will go lean with a cam and headers. You've probably added only 10 horsepower.

thats what i was saying but i have these retards in my ear that tell me this.... so i called paxton and they told me that i would be cutting it close....

just so you guys know, i know that a tune would be a great add on to take full advantage of the s/c

i just want to make sure im not going to blow up if i run this setup for a couple months..

and trust me i wouldnt have put a cam in this car without heads i bought it that way!!! lol but it does sound better a idle and thats prob it

I think you will be okay with it. The fmu I had on my car, I couldn't ever get to run right and I believe it was faulty. When it did work, it would blow a cloud of smoke out the back that would have people wondering what I just blew up.lol I could look in my rear view mirror and see the white in people's eyes.

The one that came with my buddies 1220sl worked fine. He did have some issues at high rpm but, I believe it was valve float.

Those fmu's seem to make them run pretty rich.
