89 GT vert 5.ohhhhhh with a one tire fire. ( LSD doesn't work...power to one wheel only)What do you 5.0 owners do? Go and replace it with stock one or aftermarket one? Right now my 5.0 is an AOD but I'm going to swap to a 5 speed here soon. Seems like a dumbass question, but always better to ask a question then to assume and **** up. If You use aftermarket, what brand?

rebuild the stock unit... costs about $50

 

The clutches in your read end are worn. If you will be replacing them you might as well replace the stock gears you have (unless you already have one replaced). This is the link to the rebuild kit.
