Should I...?
Well I just picked up a motor for my 2v from a 99 Lincoln Town car and I noticed it still had the 4R70W and out of curiosity I asked how much they wanted for it. The guy said 200 bucks and he would leave it attached to the motor. So I got to thinking and wondering if it would be worth snatching up for the future for my 5.0. I'm hoping to be at 400-450hp soon with an On 3 turbo kit and I'm always reading how weak the AOD's are. Although I am going to add a shift kit, tranny cooler, and a higher stall I'm thinking for 200 bucks its probably a safe investment just in case.
However I figured I'd ask you all your thoughts and opinions and was hoping someone would be able to kinda fill me in on the parts needed and process required to make the swap work. After hearing about the parts and work needed and your thoughts I figured I would be able to decide if it's worth it or not. So thanks in advance for all thoughts, opinions and pointers.

i have done some research on a similar swap and would love to do it when i can afford it. from what i have read that is a good transmission and some guys swear by them and say they are the best auto w/od. same ones were used in mark viii's that put down 290hp and handled it no prob. there is a lot of info on your swap as i am sure you know, a lot of them talk about the tranny also. modularfords.com or google mod motor fox swap or something similar and you will find a lot of info out there i know one site modular fox mustang specifically goes over the swap and lists what you should and should not keep this is a lincoln to mustang specific swap and one of the keeps is the tranny. hope this helped mike
