Default swappin axles

to swap out the rear axles on an 8.8, all i really need to do is take the rear cover off, allow all the nasty diff. fluid to drain out. then i just need to remove the c clips and slide the axles out, then reverse to reinstall correct? or do I need to remove the differental to do so?

Thats the jist of it. You have to remove the 5/16" or 8mm (wrench sizes) bolt and pinion shaft to remove the c-clips though. Be sure to put loc-tite back on the bolt though.

Tight, like a spark plug. Also don't rotate the carrier w/ the pin out or the spider gears will fall out.
