biggest tire?

Default biggest tire?

I have some 17x9 rims and i was wondering what is the biggest rear tire i can fit on them that will fit the rear of my 1990 gt notch stang. the fender lips are gone. thanks guys!

id go with a 275/40/17 that what im running and they fit well. not too much space for more

thats what i was afraid of. So i cant get any taller of a tire? i had 255/45/17's on last summer and blew the tires off in 4th goin about 60mph. Needless to say im just about done with the restoration!

looks like you need to start running a drag radial..

if it were me id prob run the nitto drag radial for the street only. just cuz they have more grip than standard street tires but last longer than lets say a m/t et street radial

"rolled" i guess.. i just bent them up a little w/ a 3lb sledge. just massaged them slightly because i didnt like the sharp edge near my tires. the rear on mine is lowered quite a bit tho.. top of the tire is inside the fender slightly. i think the springs are sagging


up front i have the same 17x9 rim with a 245/45/17 Yokohama S.Drives all around

haha yea it would be hard to tell otherwise. but i like them a lot. great tire. really good grip for a street tire too
