Default Question about mark VII rear and heim joints

hi guys, I just bought a 92' lx that was a 4cyl in its previous life and is now has an efi 5.0 conversion. The previous owner used a rear from a Lincoln mark vII to convert the car to four wheel disc/5 lug. The rear suspension has coil over springs + heim joints. My question is: can I use a different type of lower control arm and keep the coil overs? The heims seem a bit aggressive for a daily driver. My concern is with the rear being from a lincoln, i don't know if stock style lower control arms will be the right length.

I have the same rear in my car and I am using the Steeda lower control arms without any problems.
